Kaylyn Grace is only one year old but she has the sass and humor of a teenager.

She is the funniest baby I've ever photographed. She's got every look a photographer could want--pouty, happy, giddy, pensive, silly and more.

Ashley and Jud are fun, wonderful parents and their personalities already shine through in this tiny version of themselves.

I shot their family portrait session at their home in Land O Lakes, for the sake of convenience. We started with some photographs of three generations--Kaylyn, Ashley and Ashley's mother. Then we moved on to some fun in their guest bedroom with Kaylyn and her parents just playing together. I find that some of the best photos develop from natural situations with children. (And Kaylyn redefines how cute a ladybug outfit can be.)

Kaylyn was an angel through all of it. We played in their backyard and I got to know this funny little girl a bit more. Raisins are the bribe of choice in this family--a good fact to know when photographing a child.

Once we were done with formal photos inside and backyard photos, Ashley changed Kaylyn into her alligator bathing suit and let her play in the pool with Jud. The great thing about kids is that they seem to enjoy every situation they are a part of--whether that be swinging from a tree, eating Raisins, swimming or just wrestling with their parents on the bed.
