To compliment my boudoir portrait specials running through March, I’ll be posting testimonials from those women who have taken the plunge! I hope the kind words these women wrote about their experiences will ease others’ fears and help them realize, we’re all sexy…no matter how we view ourselves!

“After 17 years of marriage, I was having trouble trying to figure out what to do for my husband for our 16th anniversary. I mean, really, after all those years, what could I really give him that I hadn’t before?

This is when Jessica Leigh, presented the idea of boudoir portraits. Although a bit intriguing, the idea was a bit intimidating, and I really couldn’t imagine pulling this off.  I would say I’m pretty simple and conservative, definitely not model material or a desperate housewife, and after having three kids, my body was definitely not photo worthy!!!

So, I met with Jessica to learn more and she was fabulous to work with.  She asked so many great questions about our relationship, interests, who we are as a couple, what my husband loves about me/my body, etc.  After speaking with Jessica, I decided to go for it, and I have to admit, I was really looking forward to my day of exhibitionism.

The boudoir portrait session was taken in our home and Jessica was very professional. She is an amazing artist and she worked diligently to create unique portraits. I was worried about all of my imperfections showing and she was concerned with lighting, shadows, color, angles, etc. I was so impressed with how comfortable she made me feel and all of a sudden all those imperfections seemed to disappear and I felt empowered and beautiful! It was an amazing afternoon and so much fun!  I couldn’t wait to see the pictures and share them with my husband!

Jessica took an incredible amount of pictures and it was fun to go through them. She did an amazing job of editing and created lots of different looks and sizes to choose from. Her pricing is amazing as well for this high level of photography, and instead of this being a once-in-a-lifetime gift, I’m already thinking about what the theme will be for Boudoir Photo Session II!!!

I chose 24 photos in various sizes and with four different themes. Jessica gave me the idea to scrapbook them and include notes from the years we’ve been together. I dug out cards and notes he wrote me over the past 16 years and included them with the photos along with a personal message for each theme. To say he was blown away is an understatement. He absolutely loved the photos and was really touched by the time and thought that went into such a personal gift. He said, outside of our children, this was the best gift he ever received! He also enjoyed the CD that came with the package that included every photo that was taken.

It’s been a few months since he received “The Book”, as we refer to it, and he’s still talking about it!

It was so much fun to step out of my “mom shoes”, even if only for a couple hours, and feel the sexuality that gets lost along the way. And, it didn’t even matter that I didn’t have the body of my youth or of a Cover Girl. He saw the girl he fell in love with…the boy-shaped, quirky girl that likes to laugh and have fun!

Jessica captures so much more than just a body, she captures the very essence of who you are and what makes you sexy no matter your age or size!”
