Tampa Bay Heart Gallery Photo Session
<< BackCategory:General
Posted by: Jessica
Every year, the Tampa Bay Heart Gallery asks local photographers to donate their time to photograph a child. Never has a photograph been so important.
None of these photos will win awards, be used in portfolios or be profited from in any way.
The photos are simply given to the gallery and are used on the organization's website and in a traveling exhibit to promote awareness about adoption. The hope is that someone will see the photos, hear the child's taped recording and fall in love with their personality.
The best case scenario is that the child is adopted by a loving family. At the very least, the word of adoption is being spread through the efforts of the gallery staff and maybe someone else will be inspired to volunteer.
I had the pleasure of photographing another child this year and due to privacy issues, I am asked not to display his photos. He is a lovely 12-yr-old with a quiet disposition and a sweet smile.
Thank you to Melissa Twomey and Jesse Miller for making this gallery happen every year. And thank you to Dan Weisberg for allowing me to use his photos of the session.
